Personal Development
Our school goes beyond the expected, so that pupils have access to a wide, rich set of experiences. We aim to introduce our pupils to a wide breadth of opportunities to enable them to make informed choices about their futures and uncover and nurture their God-given talents. To do this we ensure that during their time at St Aelred’s, children are offered a variety of enrichment opportunities.
Our enrichment opportunities are designed to extend beyond the academic; with a specific focus on our community and wider society. This is because we want our pupils to experience a wide range of opportunities in our ever-changing world. We focus on developing pupils’ moral, spiritual, social and cultural understanding so that they are well-prepared for life in modern Britain.

Pupil Leadership
At St. Aelred’s, we are proud to offer a wide range of pupil leadership groups that give our children the opportunity to develop their confidence, teamwork, and decision-making skills. These groups allow pupils to take an active role in shaping school life, through representing their peers, leading on important initiatives, and supporting whole-school events. Each group plays a vital part in making our school community inclusive, engaging, and forward-thinking. By working together, our pupil leaders not only strengthen their own skills but also help to create a positive and inspiring environment for everyone.
